“Khatm-e-Khawajgan” is a spiritual practice established by our esteemed spiritual leaders for fulfilling needs and resolving difficulties. The method is as follows:
1. Timing and Arrangement
After the Asr prayer (though it can be performed at another time), a group of individuals should sit in a circle, keeping the specific issue in mind.
2. Recitation of Surah Al-Fatiha
Recite Surah Al-Fatiha with “Bismillah” seven (7) times. If there are more participants, only seven individuals should recite it once each.
3. Reciting Durood Sharif
Using pebbles or date seeds, recite Durood Sharif 101 times.
4. Recitation of Surah Al-Inshirah
Recite Surah Al-Inshirah 79 times.
5. Recitation of Surah Al-Ikhlas
Recite Surah Al-Ikhlas (Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad) 1,000 times.
6. Repetition of Surah Al-Fatiha
Again, recite Surah Al-Fatiha seven times as before.
7. Invocation of Divine Names: Recite each of the following names 101 times:
• Yā Qāḍī al-Ḥājāt (O Fulfiller of Needs)
• Yā Kāfī al-Muhimmāt (O Sufficient for Important Matters)
• Yā Mujīb al-Da‘awāt (O Responder to Supplications)
• Yā Ḥall al-Mushkilāt (O Solver of Problems)
• Yā Dāfi‘ al-Baliyāt (O Repeller of Afflictions)
• Yā Rāfi‘ al-Darajāt (O Elevator of Ranks)
• Yā Shāfī al-Amrāḍ (O Healer of Diseases)
• Yā Arḥam al-Rāḥimīn (O Most Merciful of the Merciful)
8. Dedication of Rewards and Supplication
Dedicate the spiritual rewards to the pure souls of revered saints such as Sultan al-‘Arifin, Hazrat Khwaja Bayazid Bastami, Hazrat Khwaja Abu al-Hasan Kharqani, Hazrat Khwaja Abdul Khaliq Ghujdawani, Hazrat Khwaja Abu Yusuf Hamdani, Hazrat Khwaja Arif Riwgari, Hazrat Khwaja Azizun Ali Ramitani, Hazrat Khwaja Baba Samasi, Hazrat Khwaja Sayyid Amir Kulal, Khwaja Khawajgan Pir-e-Piran Hazrat Bahauddin Naqshband Bukhari, and Hazrat Khwaja Abu Mansur Maturidi (may Allah’s mercy be upon them all). Through their intercession, pray for your need.
This practice is performed for three (3) or seven(7) days. The more righteous and pious the participants, the greater the hope for the acceptance of the supplication.
